I firmly believe that my happy place lies in the great outdoors, and I would absolutely love to share that with you! With my camera in hand, I'm committed to capturing every breathtaking moment of your journey together.
Hello there! I’m Taylor, the face behind Love’s Cascade, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself, my wonderful husband Andrew, and our three beloved dogs: Arlo, Nala, and Seamus. Our lives are a blend of adventure, love, and a whole lot of furry cuddles, and I hope this gives you a glimpse into our world.
Arlo, our mountain feist, is 8 years old and we affectionately call him “the mayor” because he’s always observing and supervising the neighborhood from our living room window. His favorite toy is a sneaky Kong tennis ball. Originally bred to be a hunting dog capable of climbing trees, Arlo became my little adventure and running buddy when I adopted him in college. Nowadays, he’s a bit older and prefers cuddling and making a cozy den in our bed. His favorite snacks are cheese and peanut butter.
Nala, our 6-year-old mastador, is the sweetest and most loving dog you’ll ever meet. She adores her little stuffed animals, which we jokingly call “her babies,” despite her size. Her favorite pastime is chewing on vanilla-flavored bones, and her favorite treat is whatever I’m holding at the moment, though she has a special fondness for bananas. Nala was our first dog as a couple, and she shows her love by laying on top of us and nibbling our noses. She’s definitely my adventure companion, loving hikes, playing in the water, or just enjoying the wind in her fur.
Seamus, our 5-year-old lab, loves nothing more than when we sing to him. We often joke that he turns into a “puddle puppy” because he will hold you down to love you. His idea of a perfect day includes long walks to the couch after waking up, and he would gladly wear a tuxedo to your wedding. Though he’s a happy indoor dog who loves the AC, he enjoys running in the snow. Seamus has a soft spot for stuffed animals, which he needs to hold to manage his big emotions.
My husband Andrew is my rock and my biggest cheerleader. He’s an incredible empath and a Pisces, always in tune with the emotions around him. As an emergency room nurse specializing in trauma patients, his job is demanding, but he handles it with grace and compassion. Andrew’s love languages are quality time and physical touch, which means we make sure to spend as much time together as possible, whether it’s hiking in the mountains or simply snuggling at home.
Andrew is also ordained and can officiate weddings, bringing a personal touch to many couples’ special days. In his downtime, he loves to paint, often drawing inspiration from the photos I take during our outdoor adventures. His creativity never ceases to amaze me. When it comes to food, Andrew has a soft spot for crabs and lobster, and he’s a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan. Together, we share a passion for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
I find my greatest sense of home when I’m with Andrew, but my second home is definitely in the mountains. The peace and serenity I feel there are unmatched. I love hiking, kayaking, and sometimes fishing—being in nature truly recharges my soul. When I’m not exploring the great outdoors, you’ll find me on the couch watching one of my favorite shows (Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Hawaii 5-0, Bob’s Burgers, Transplant, Seal Team, Criminal Minds, Big Mouth, 9-1-1, Blue Bloods, 60 Days In, Sons of Anarchy, The Bear, and That 70s Show) with my pups alongside me.
Professionally, I work as a researcher at a cancer institute, studying experimental medicine involving the immune system. It’s a challenging but incredibly rewarding field.
My love languages are acts of service and quality time, so I cherish the moments we share, whether we’re embarking on a new adventure or enjoying a quiet evening at home. To spend more time with Andrew, I took up golf as a hobby, and now it’s one of our favorite activities to do together. I’m very extroverted, always excited to meet new people and make new connections. And for those little personal quirks: I love vanilla-flavored anything, lilac is my favorite color, and despite being very Irish, I’m a huge fan of Italian food. I’m also a big Philadelphia sports fan, which makes for some fun and friendly rivalry at home.
Together, Andrew and I love exploring new places, with the mountains often calling our names. We often take spontaneous weekend camping trips or a carefully planned hiking excursion. Whether it’s a mountain hike or a lazy day with our dogs, our lives are filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We hope to bring the same love and warmth to every couple we work with, capturing your unique stories and special moments with the same passion and dedication we have for our own.
Warmly,
Taylor and the Love’s Cascade Family
